The Republic of Croatia is a country in Southeast Europe. It has a population of around 4 million people and its capital and largest city is Zagreb. The official language is Croatian and the currency is the Euro. Croatia is known for its stunning coastline along the Adriatic Sea, which is a popular tourist destination. Other notable attractions include the Plitvice Lakes National Park and the historic city of Dubrovnik. Croatia is a member of the European Union, the United Nations, and the NATO.

The Faculty of Economics & Business at the University of Zagreb is the oldest institution of higher education in economics and business in Croatia and one of the oldest in Europe. With a community of 260 professors and associates, the faculty provides study programs at all levels, including professional undergraduate and graduate specialist studies, integrated undergraduate and graduate university studies, undergraduate and graduate university study programs in English, and postgraduate specialist and doctoral study programs in economics and business economics, and economics and global security. All study programs are in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Declaration and have valid permits issued by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia.

With over 8,500 students at all levels of study, the faculty is recognized as the leading and largest institution of economic and business education in Croatia and the wider region. Additionally, the faculty has been awarded international accreditations AACSB, EQUIS and EFMD.
